Terms of use
ONWI (the “Service”) is a paid-placement promotion board for Asian markets. These Terms apply to every visitor and advertiser, and both individuals and businesses may advertise. Where an advertiser is a consumer, Korean consumer-protection law (including the E-Commerce Act and the Act on Regulation of Terms) takes precedence over these Terms.
Rank cells are paid advertising seats (visibility rights). A sponsorship or visibility-seat payment is not a game of chance, a lottery, an investment solicitation, or a principal-protected product. The Service does not promise campaign performance, traffic, or sales. Rank 1 means the highest seat price, not quality or popularity.
Advertisers warrant that listed URLs and claims comply with applicable law, including advertising, e-commerce, privacy, and intellectual property rules. The Service may hide or remove unlawful, impersonating, or harmful campaigns without notice.
01
When the contract is formed
A visibility-seat contract is formed when the advertiser accepts the terms, paid-placement notice, and refund rules and completes checkout.
02
What you buy
What an advertiser buys is placement on the board. You may list a website or a public social account or channel — Instagram, X, YouTube, TikTok, Telegram channels and similar. Placement begins once payment and publication complete. Rank moves whenever other campaigns pay, and no specific rank, duration, impression count, click count, revenue, or search visibility is guaranteed.
03
Price and the difference
Amounts are shown in US dollars in whole-dollar steps, with a $5 minimum. A new campaign is charged the full chosen seat price; an existing campaign is charged only the difference to the target seat. Your card issuer's exchange rate and any cross-border fee may apply.
04
Payment method
Checkout uses hosted payment by the payment provider (Polar). A real charge is made when checkout completes. Card details are entered on the provider’s page; onwi does not receive or store them.
05
Prohibited industries
The following may not be promoted on the Service, and submissions are rejected regardless of payment: casinos and chance-gaming venues, adult or sexual content, illegal drugs, weapons and ammunition, counterfeit goods, medical or health-supplement advertising, hacking or malware, and extremist or violent content. This restriction applies to every link type, including websites and social accounts or channels (for example x.com, Instagram, Telegram, and YouTube).
06
Submission review
Every submission is screened before publication by an automated review pipeline that combines deterministic keyword and domain rules with an optional AI reviewer. A submission that fails review is rejected with a stated reason and is not published. A submission rejected in review after payment is not published and is refunded in full automatically. Passing automated review is not a warranty of legality; the advertiser remains responsible, and the Service may remove a campaign later for a violation.
07
Withdrawal and refunds
A submission rejected in review is not published, and where payment was taken it is refunded in full automatically. If you cancel before placement starts, we refund in full. After placement starts, withdrawal is limited under Article 17(2) of the Korean E-Commerce Act. Rank moving because other advertisers pay more is how the board works and is not a defect. Fewer clicks, impressions, or sales than hoped is not a ground for refund. A campaign removed for breach of these Terms or the prohibited-industry rules is not refunded. If the Service fails to run the placement, we refund in full.
08
Limit of liability
Except where caused by our intent or gross negligence, our total liability for any claim arising from a placement is limited to the amount actually paid for that placement. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, including lost profit, lost traffic, or lost business opportunity. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that Korean law does not permit to be limited.
09
Advertiser responsibility
The advertiser is responsible for the creative, the linked destination, and every claim made there. If a third party or a public authority brings a claim, complaint, or sanction against the Service because of an advertiser's campaign, the advertiser bears the resulting damages, fines, and reasonable defence costs. This does not apply to the extent the Service caused the matter through its own intent or gross negligence.
10
Availability
The board is provided as it stands. Availability may be interrupted by maintenance, provider failure, or events outside our control, and an interruption by itself is not a refund event. Where an external platform changes, restricts, or blocks a linked account or channel, that is outside our control. If we fail to run a paid placement at all, the remedy is the refund described above.
11
Minors
Users under 19 may buy a visibility seat only with the consent of a legal guardian.
12
Previews and images
When you enter a website address, the Service reads that page's public metadata (title, description, favicon) from our server to build the board card. Social account addresses — Instagram, X, YouTube, TikTok, Telegram and similar — are never visited: we show only the handle read from the URL and the platform's own logo. We do not access anything private. If what we resolved is wrong, or you do not want it shown, contact us.
13
Business information
Operator details (trade name, representative, address, email, business registration number) are listed on the Business information page.
The payment provider’s (Polar) terms and receipt policy also apply to every checkout.
These Terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Korea. Where an advertiser is a consumer, the competent court is determined by the Civil Procedure Act and nothing here removes that right. Where an advertiser acts as a business, the parties agree to the court with jurisdiction over the Service's principal place of business as the court of first instance.
